Alternatively referred to as HDR, high dynamic range is a technology that, as the name would imply, increases the range of a TV or computer monitor’s color and contrast. HDR increases the distance between the darkest blacks and the lightest whites as well as depth of color. Essentially, it makes the images displayed have more “pop,” they’re more vivid and realistic looking.
