Introduced on November 10, 2015, by Valve, a Steam Machine is a specialty gaming PC. It runs a modified version of Linux called SteamOS. The Steam Machine attempted to make PC gaming appeal to Xbox and PlayStation players who preferred the comfort of playing with a controller from their couch.
Multiple versions of the Steam Machine are available from various PC manufacturers such as Alienware and CyberPowerPC. In the picture is an example of a Steam Machine from Alienware.
